Date
Attendees
ChildAdvocates: Stacey Sobel, Becky LeGette
NetSuite: Abigael Gonida, Kevin Durand, Antonio Lim
Discussion items
- Discussion of Current Status of Saved Search and Q&A for Requirement #2 (See PPT attached for details)
Reviewed the context and fields within the developed Saved Search “KD Donor Info for Annual Report - Exact v2”
- Ask of ChildAdvocates
- Validate that the fields selected and amounts for prior years are in line with requirements
- Ask of NetSuite –
- Netsuite is not as friendly as it could be for Non-Profit Organizations - Concurred and mentioned there is a partner solution, Pyango, that adds a layer of capability on top of NetSuite specific to Not-For-Profit Organizations
- Create a new field, combining the current information within the ‘Name for Letter Template’ with the last name only from within the ‘Name’ field – Advised that creation of formulas is out of scope for this grant, but we will look into the feasibility of doing this.
- How were donation buckets created and how can they be changed? – We chose to create formulas (best method even though formulas not in scope) within the Search Criteria to parse the information into buckets. One issue discovered, when multiple donations are made, they are sometimes appearing in two separate columns for one row – NS to investigate
- Reviewed all other fields requested and advised of the Group statement enabling the sort of the rows within the search results.
Action items
a.) Investigate summarizing of donations at the row level, ensuring that the total amount of donations for any given row falls within one donation bucket. This will require additional investigation into the coding of the formula used to create the columns.
b.) Investigate whether we can create additional out of scope coding to concatenate data from two fields, to create a new field to hold the Donor(s) first name or names and last name. Possible use of the Preferred Name column is being investigated.
