Overview
When your account is provisioned, you receive the basic NetSuite.org grant. It is not configured for any specific use case. You will need to complete a number of tasks to get NetSuite ready for use.
Configuration Steps
For US Nonprofits, we suggest following our Getting Started with NetSuite: Self-Implementation guide which follows the Leading Practices on how to best leverage NetSuite for nonprofits. For nonprofits outside the US, you may need to alter our Getting Started with NetSuite: Self-Implementation to match your local government reporting requirements.
Initial Configuration Notes:
- If you are a US nonprofit and plan on using accounting in the future, select a blank chart of accounts and import the UCOA chart of accounts from Getting Started with NetSuite: Self-Implementation guide. This can save you complexity in the future.
